The two Danish contractors, Lise Hjort and Birgitte Holten, launched their first shoe collection in 2004.

Their inspiration came mainly from the local picture in Copenhagen and Italy. with their exceptional sense of fashion over many years.

In a close collaboration they have developed high quality shoes with fantastic fits and a look that accommodates the feminine look.

Lise Free Life Hjort and Birgitte Holten launched the first Apair shoe collection in 2004. Their inspiration came mainly from their hometown Copenhagen in Denmark, and the streets of Italy. Both have worked in fashion for many years and have a perfect eye for what is moving in the fashion industry, and at the same time the dare to be different and you all seem to love that.

They design the collections in close collaboration with the most talented artisans in Italy, from the same factories as high-end brands like Prada and Dior, and is focusing on insuring highest quality and comfortability.
